I have been busy the past few days with work and stuffs. Sometimes of the petty disappointments that I have over work, love life, and life in general. You might be wondering why this book is on the picture.
I met someone in the net. He works for the air force and we been talking for two years then. He shared me this book. I actually made my way to Power books and was looking for a copy of Book 4 of the Twilight series, " The breaking dawn".
Then I came over this book and recognized it. I bought it the instant but I didn't read it. It took me another one month to give the book a chance. That chance I had was on the night of November 13, 2008.
I read the book under a lampshade by my bed. Everyone was asleep in the depths of the night except me. Without much thought this book has captured my heart and swept me to tears. It somehow hit me to the core of my heart.
Like the character in the book Mack, I have experienced "The Great Sadness". Quiet a lot of times really that I have allowed myself to be swallowed by grief and hide myself under my own protective invisible cloak that no one could ever penetrate.
First was when daddy died( not my real father), second was that when friends I have seem to go somewhere else far from me, next was when my bf (the person I certainly treat as my other half) finally left for another country leaving me alone. My fear of being alone was great. Without my notice I have placed a barge around my heart that no one could fully enter.
I just realized while reading this book. The reason why he had allowed this things to happen to me was that maybe I wasn't alone after all. He been there all along waiting to be noticed by me.
He wants me to be totally dependent to HIM to be in total union with Him. I miss that bond.
The book says a part where Mack questioned Jesus where he was when he needed him. Jesus said we were there right beside you and we never left. Have it occurred to you that during your most difficult times you only have noticed the trials because they affect you and have not seen us at all.
I am not yet done reading the book. But I'm so determined to finish it and read it all over again so I won't forget everything it said.
I felt loved when I read it. Its like Jesus is a character you will be so eager to know. Like a best friend instead of someone who judges. It is so full of love. Totally different from earthly love.
I recommend you to read it as well. It could change the way you handle your relationships with anyone.
