I took a cab and headed to the airport at about 4:00 am in the morning. It will take about 2 hours before departure. The flight schedule is at 6:10 am and the arrival time is about 7:10 am at the Tagbilaran City airport.
Jr, my brother, fetched me at the airport. When I arrived home, my mom, my dad, my grandmother and my sister with her beau, Rose and Lanie, the two house-helps and the dogs were there. The family is indeed growing.
My grandmother cried upon seeing me and kissed me. I missed her but she gets a little bit emotional specially when we the grandkids are around. I approached my mom and she told me that my sis’ beau asked her for my sister’s hand. They didn’t mention she was pregnant. Don’t worry I didn’t tell anyone of course. They both are grown-ups and it’s their right to tell the news. J
I think things are going out well.

April 11, 2009 - The Beach

My little cute niece, Seth, came to my parent’s place with her mom. I love to spoil the kid. I bought him a swimming trunk (which is by the way too big for him), a little swimming pool and a life jacket.
We prepared some food yesterday for today’s activity. Our route for today is to the beach, Dumaluan Beach Resort. It was high tide when we came so we grown up kids decided to go have some videoke.
We had some cool fun today and bonded with one another.
It was about after three in the afternoon when we headed back home. My sister and her beau talked to my parents about their planned marriage. J I wasn’t there when they told them so I really didn’t see the whole thing. But I guess everything looks ok after seeing the after effect.
They just asked a lot of questions and my younger brother JR also told my mom ahead that he is marrying next year. I just laughed when they asked me. Told them to go ahead with their plans and not wait for me. J It’s not a contest anyway.

My sister went back to Cebu where she works with her beau. I’ll miss her but I’ll definitely see her again on her wedding day. Can’t believe little sis is getting married and is soon to be a mom. I’ll miss her being my little sister.
I took my mom and my sister in law to a movie in the afternoon.

Time to go pack and get back to Manila. I left my parent’s place three hours earlier than my flight.
I had some misunderstanding with my grandmother and my father. Lola (grandma) is very old but still could remember things specially his grand children. She’s under medication and strict diet these days. I told her to keep it easy on the person who takes care of her because they might eventually get tired. She’s used to talking to people not thinking of their feelings.
I heard her curse my dad when I was doing the laundry yesterday. I don’t know but it seems that the saying, “A grown tree is very hard to mend and make it straight”. Don’t get me wrong. She’s a kind person to us her grandchildren. But I just wished she could treat the rest of the people around her like how she treats us.
This is what my dad don’t understand when I’d like to open it to her. Maybe my dad is just doing his best to be a good son to her mom. Maybe he is just making the most of her remaining days. But I just hate to see my dad in an awful situation.
