Dear Journal,
It’s been almost a year since my last entry. A lot has changed.
Family
My husband has gone back abroad to work and will be back for another 9 months. We had to try again bearing kids when he comes back. We were not blessed with one last year. I will wait for God’s perfect time for us to be parents.
Married life changes you. Your priorities, lifestyle, and decisions will change. When you make a decision, you had to consult your partner and vice versa. There are ups and downs. But what I like most is that I belong to someone now (permanently) and he belongs to me.
Before he went back abroad to work, he used to prepare dinner and wait for me to come home. Then we would eat together. I miss him so much. I wish there would come a time when we would spend most of the years of our life together, have kids, and make a home.
I thank God that he has answered our prayers. We both prayed that we would end up together. This was my heart’s deepest desire and it was his dream. Now I am also blessed with another set of parents.
My mother-in-law and father-in-law treat me like their own daughter. They are anxious to have a grandchild. I pray that we would be blessed with one so they can also experience being grandparents. My husband’s siblings are all kind to me and treat me like their “Ate”.
So much about family…
Work
It was September 2010 when my husband onboard the ship abroad to work. While he was away, I became busier with work and had time for other sidelines.
I was promoted January 2011 from associate to analyst after four years. My fault was that I never mentioned any wishes to be promoted in the previous years. It was only in 2010 when I mentioned my wishes to my leaders. My leaders gave me a grade of 1.3 which is the highest given in our team and in our department. This is a huge blessing to me since I will be able to settle my debts by March when I receive my performance bonus. I would not mention this to any of my colleagues since I would like to avoid the hot spot and easy target for envy, office politics, and jealousy.
My new sideline is making and selling chocolates with varieties of plain white, brown/ dark chocolate, brown with cashew nuts, and white chocolate crispy. I rec
eived many orders for the Valentine Season.
