A productive and inspiring day for me

Today went out productive. Me and my hubby went to the world trade center to attend a fair for Filipino franchisers.

It was a good thing that we got our entrance and registration free just by presenting our BPI atm cards instead of paying P100 each.

I was really inspired by the talk Mirriam Quiambao made. It was more about her journey, the trials she had, and how she survived being an entrepreneur. She hold on to the verse from the book of Jeremiah, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a bright future.

One thing I could never forget is what Ople said in the forum. She said never to be afraid to do the things you love. It's what keeps us going. She also shared what her father told her before he died. Be kind, be kind and be kind. The world is round and one thing or the other we might need someone else help. The world is about connecting people. Always have a calling card ready since we might just meet a person just one time in this life.

This thoughts shared to me totally inspired me and my hubby.:) God give us wisdom on how to live the life you have given us fruitfully and to walk the way you want us to walk.

Shakening moments

I just learned my housemate had a lump on her right breast. She went to the doctor to have it examined then was told to undergo biopsy. Her results showed stage 2 breast cancer. I was somehow weekend by the result. But the strength she showed inspired me. She had to be strong for her two kids.

Now its my turn to get biopsy. I have the same solid mass on my right breast. My operation is next week Tuesday at Makati Medical Center. I really hope the results will be benign. I prayed that it will be benign. There are still some events in this life that I want to experience just like having a child for instance, seeing them grow and growing old with my husband.

God is good. In everything give thanks :) He helped me provide for my operation. I was having a hard time looking for a surgeon that will accept my company's health card for inpatient. I was almost into tears and hope was almost gone. I had only one surgeon left to call. It was only him that accepts the health card among those I called.

Pray for me. :) I will need it.

Changes...

Dear Journal,
It’s been almost a year since my last entry. A lot has changed.
Family
My husband has gone back abroad to work and will be back for another 9 months. We had to try again bearing kids when he comes back. We were not blessed with one last year. I will wait for God’s perfect time for us to be parents.
Married life changes you. Your priorities, lifestyle, and decisions will change. When you make a decision, you had to consult your partner and vice versa. There are ups and downs. But what I like most is that I belong to someone now (permanently) and he belongs to me.
Before he went back abroad to work, he used to prepare dinner and wait for me to come home. Then we would eat together. I miss him so much. I wish there would come a time when we would spend most of the years of our life together, have kids, and make a home.
I thank God that he has answered our prayers. We both prayed that we would end up together. This was my heart’s deepest desire and it was his dream. Now I am also blessed with another set of parents.
My mother-in-law and father-in-law treat me like their own daughter. They are anxious to have a grandchild. I pray that we would be blessed with one so they can also experience being grandparents. My husband’s siblings are all kind to me and treat me like their “Ate”.
So much about family…
Work
It was September 2010 when my husband onboard the ship abroad to work. While he was away, I became busier with work and had time for other sidelines.
I was promoted January 2011 from associate to analyst after four years. My fault was that I never mentioned any wishes to be promoted in the previous years. It was only in 2010 when I mentioned my wishes to my leaders. My leaders gave me a grade of 1.3 which is the highest given in our team and in our department. This is a huge blessing to me since I will be able to settle my debts by March when I receive my performance bonus. I would not mention this to any of my colleagues since I would like to avoid the hot spot and easy target for envy, office politics, and jealousy.

My new sideline is making and selling chocolates with varieties of plain white, brown/ dark chocolate, brown with cashew nuts, and white chocolate crispy. I rec
eived many orders for the Valentine Season.

Our Simple but Wonderful Wedding

Whats been happening :)

Its been quite a while since my last entry. Being busy is indeed no excuse for me. But when I dont write it either means a major change has happened in my life.

Yes, your right. Indeed a huge change there is. I'm married. I got married last January 22, 2010. Its a simple civil wedding with a touch of christian blessing as well. Due to short of funds we wanted our wedding to be simple, not heavy on the wallet, stress free and also important.

After the wedding in the regional trial court, was the christian blessing done by Ptr Zosa. Most of the people who attended our wedding were Catholic, I was very blessed by the message of Christian life that Pastor was delivering. After the message was a short prayer. I will never forget that day. It may not be what most weddings are like but everyone around us were happy.

Of course, my groom is the Ahmong. :) The man I really love.

Updates

Im doing midshifts starting next week. This is a good thing. I could at least sleep normally.
Hopefully my period gets normal. Plus I will be transferred to a different team by september just a few months away. So yeah Its a good thing I hope. The new team is reporting day shift so this will definitely favorable. I could have future plans of studying for teaching if I would want to settle in the province someday. Well, its just a back up plan so I could have alternative jobs.

Sorry for the short post. heheheh will talk to you later.

Fragile me

Dear Journal,

Jenilo called last Saturday morning asking me if I could look on some resorts.
I asked him what its for. He answered that he just wants to spend some time with me.
Then he brought up the marriage topic. Asking me not to worry because he will marry me. (But he didn't say when). He also asked if a civil wedding is ok because he still has a lot of things to prepare.

He was giving me some hope. But here I am fragile and afraid to be hurt again as flashes of memories from the last time he proposed haunt me. I was still wishful so I browsed through different wedding sites. Then I realized what if he changes his mind again like before. So I just stopped my search but still saved the files.

December is four months away but is fast approaching. Part of me want to see him but I am scared. I am afraid to hope again and be hurt in the end. This is why as much as possible I push the thought away.

Before I wanted to get married so badly. But why do I feel scared for December to come.
Maybe its because December will determine if its good to stay or move on.

But for the meantime, I have to live from September to November. Let December handle herself. I lift everything to God’s hands. He knows what’s best for me. He knows the desires of my heart.

I have heard news from my uncle that my boyfriend’s grandmother is in Caloocan on one of his Uncle’s place. With her is my bf’s brother. Just a thought flashed, maybe his brother is applying for a job now. Its good but still I wish they could like me like their own daughter. Despite the differences we have. I just wish to have an in law relationship like Ruth and Noemi.

Lets hope for the best

Regards,
Emely
