Empty pages by Emely Boncavil

Empty pages
by Emely Boncavil
I never knew of empty pages
Every page were never empty
when you were beside me
You used t0 fill my diary with wonderful stories
For you were the leading man in every series

Butterflies do fly when I see you
But what happens when your far
Always out of site
always out of reach
Things used to be good for both of us
Never thought that sees would torn us apart

Now its all but empty pages
Nothing more to write
The leading man has left
Now its just but empty pages

Patience is a virtue , that's what they say
So I try and wait for you to come back
But as time passes by as I wait more and more
Colors starts to fade
Dreams stay dreams
and pages remain empty

I want something real this time
and not just empty pages
Will you come back

May 30-June 1 2009

Today's supposed to be our sports fest activity in the Shared Service Center but I decided to push through with my flight home. My sister's wedding was reset to another date but since I bought my tickets in advance, I decided to use it for some rest.

I wasn't sure how this short vacation would turn out. My dad and I were not in good terms when I left two months ago because of my grandma. But my mom knew about it and she made ways to bridge the gap even before I returned home. Moms are really lights in people's homes.

My dad fetched me upon arriving at Tagbilaran City airport. Conversations were OK. I never really had a fight with my dad just some misunderstanding. But anyways I missed him and he explained why he said those things to me. He didn't want my grandma to have another attack.

My grandma and my dad used to have arguments since my dad didn't like the way she talks to other people. That was when my grandma had an attack and was rushed to the hospital. I understood from then on his reasons.

Don't get me wrong. I love them both and they are both good persons. My dad is a humble and understanding soul who has miles of patience. But once its the tip of the rope its the end of it. My grandma on the other hand is very kind and loving to us her grandchildren. But she's very strict to my dad and all other people. I understand her personality because she used to be the principal teacher in their Elementary School and a Kagawad in their Barangay. But I love them both. :)

Then come Sunday, after going to church me and my dad headed for Abijilan.

Its a small town very far from civilization where I spent my childhood and where my grandma lives when shes not in the city. Its been four years since I have last visited the place. Abijilan is also the town of Ahmong's mother and where we both shared fond happy memories.
It was a nice experience going back to the place. I found the lost part of me. This is the place where I usually meditate when I was on my teens. I found peace in this place. While approaching the wild trees along the rocky rough road you would hear waters running, birds chirping, and feel the cold breeze on your cheeks. It was as if my soul found home again. I'll show you more of my favorite spots when I have time to go there the next time I go home.

Meanwhile, after the visit I went back to Tagbilaran City and spent the next day with my niece, Seth, who is getting bigger and more charming each time I see him. He doesn't run away from me now. In fact he hugs me, sits and sleeps on my lap and recognizes me already.
I could not help but spoil the kid to his favorite rides at the mall in our small town.

More to come on my sister's wedding.
